Founded in mid 2020, XSET are an up-and-coming teams that had made a name for itself by winning the NSG x Complexity Invitational. Their recent efforts saw them place amongst the upper half of both the Valorant Champions Tour Challenger events, even earning a qualification to play in the first Masters event. Version1 on the other hand are an unproven team with no strong track record. After losing to Team Envy, Version 1 narrowly climbed their way to the Lower Bracket Round 3, with two extremely close Bo3 matches against Built by Gamers and Cloud9 Blue. XSET are slightly favoured to win this match up, however, given Version 1’s ability to flip close matches in their favour earlier this week, they cannot be completely counted out either. Historically, 100 Thieves have always been favoured heading into Team Envy. No matter the outcome of the Upper Bracket final between 100 Thieves and Team Envy, it is nearly certain the loser will come out ahead of the Lower Bracket Final against XSET or Version 1.
