Here’s the best option for your Esports Bets:
Welcome to our STS betting review where we will take a close look at how this betting site caters to fans who want to wager on Overwatch. Ever since this Blizzard Entertainment title came out in 2016, it has become a breakthrough hit in the world of esports, and there are now plenty of good Overwatch betting sites that allow you to wager on tournaments like the Overwatch League, the Overwatch World Cup and the Overwatch Contenders tournament.
STSbet is one of the latest traditional sports bookmakers to join the fray. They are a betting site with Polish origins, but have grown to cover the whole of Europe with over 30,000 live bets each month. Obviously, the majority of these tend to cover standard sports like football and tennis, but STS also serve up bets on esports like CSGO, LoL, Dota 2, StarCraft 2, and of course, Overwatch.
In the course of our STSbet review, we’ll let you know what this site offer in terms of everything from their customer support to the current STS welcome offer. All of which should help you decide whether you should sign up to STS to place your next Overwatch bet.
What is the STS welcome offer that you can get with a STS betting bonus code?
The STS welcome offer gives you a great chance to make a little more from your Overwatch bets, and you don’t even need an STS betting bonus code to activate it. The offer is available to all new customers from the UK who sign up to STSbet for the first time, and then make a qualifying deposit of £5 or more with any payment method except for Neteller, Skrill, Paysafecard, Rapid or MuchBetter.
You won’t need to use an STS bonus code, but you will need to make a qualifying bet within your first 14 days at the site. This means that you have to make an accumulator bet with at least three selections where you stake between £5 and £30 and each selection has to have odds of 1.80 or higher.
Once your qualifying bet has been settled, then you will see your betting stake matched by 100% up to £30. This will come in the form of extra bet tokens that cannot be withdrawn, and must be used within 14 days. Terms and conditions apply, 18+.
If you are resident in one of the qualifying mainland European countries, then you might get to access two different bonuses. The first of which is a €5 no deposit bonus that can be used for esports betting. You have to enter the SPORTVIP bonus code upon signing up, and you can only use this bonus on esports odds of 1.91 or more within 30 days. Remember that you’ll have to wager any winnings 10 times on odds of 1.91 or more before you can make a withdrawal.
The other European bonus will match your opening deposit at STS by 100% up to €100. You can claim this deal with a simple €5 deposit. From here, you can use your extra bets on any sports except tennis. The wagering requirements state that you have to bet the value of your bonus eight times on odds of 1.90 within 30 days before you can access your boosted winnings. T&C apply.
Only match winner bets when Overwatch betting STS-style
Overwatch’s developers, Blizzard Entertainment, took the wise steps of setting up a select series of tournaments for the game. This means that there isn’t the endless variety of competitions that you can get for other esports like CSGO and LoL. Thankfully, it has helped Overwatch become one of the less confusing esports to follow, and STS have made sure that they include betting markets for all of the official tournaments like Overwatch League and the Overwatch Contenders competition.
Unfortunately, it looks like STS only allow you to take basic match winner bets on contests like the Overwatch League. We have seen some bookmakers who allow you to bet on more advanced things like first map winner, but STSbet keep it simple. Don’t forget that STS also allow you to take outright bets on the overall winner of massive tournaments like the Overwatch League.
Get 24/7 email help with your Overwatch bets
If you want to get in touch with STSbet to do with anything from setting up your account to using an STS bonus code, then you can simply send an email to the brand. There’s an email address in the About Us section, or there’s also an entire email form in the Contact area. Sadly, it looks like STS have failed to provide customers with anything like live chat or a telephone customer support number.
Thankfully, STS state that their customer support offices are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help you make the most of their betting service. Don’t forget that STSbet have also served up a basic but moderately helpful FAQ section where you can get quick information regarding common questions about payment methods, betting limits and so on.
Safe payment methods to use for getting the STS welcome offer
STS have been careful to include most of the popular payment brands that you can expect to find at all good bookmakers’ websites. This means that you have easy and safe ways to fund your Overwatch bets with a credit card, debit card, e-wallet or prepaid card. Whilst there’s nothing in the way of PayPal or Bitcoin here, expect to be able to make simple deposits with brands like Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, Neteller, EcoPayz and Paysafecard.
STS won’t charge you a penny for moving your money around on their site, and you should be able to place deposits from as little as £5 at a time. All deposits should instantly show up in your account, whilst payouts are processed relatively quickly at just two to three working days per withdrawal.
Fully licensed site for secure esports betting
You should never use an esports betting site that doesn’t have any kind of licensing, as it would mean that you might be susceptible to scams. But you don’t have to worry about this at STS as the betting site is fully regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. This is one of the hardest online gambling licenses to get and it shows that STS are a fair and reputable online betting brand.
Like many decent betting sites, STSbet have included links to responsible gambling organisations like GamStop. This means that you are never too far away from some helpful advice about how to keep your wagering under control. In addition to this, STS are also recognised by the Independent Betting Adjudication Service so that you can receive help if you feel that one of your bets was wrongly dealt with.
For Overwatch betting, STSbet’s odds are worth taking up
STS have got a good reputation for their odds on traditional sports like football. But how good are STS’ betting odds for esports like Overwatch? In order to let you know, we could only really carry out a fair odds comparison test between STS and one of the biggest names in the betting industry – 888sport.
For this Overwatch odds comparison, we picked an Overwatch League match between Paris Eternal and Houston Outlaws. If you wanted to back Paris Eternal to win this Overwatch game, then 888sport had odds of 3.00, whilst STS could only manage odds of 2.87 for the same outcome. For a Houston Outlaws win, 888sport could give you odds of 1.35 whilst STS came up with fractionally better odds of 1.36. So whilst STS might be a much smaller site than 888sport, it seems as though they can just about keep up with the big guns.
Simple and user-friendly site but no STSbet app
The STSbet website is never going to win any awards for design flair. But what it lacks in originality, it makes up for in functionality. It’s very easy to navigate the STS betting site to find the required Overwatch odds, and other tasks like signing in and requesting payouts are also very smooth and straightforward.
The only real downside of STS’s design was the fact that they have yet to create their own STSbet app. Many of the betting sites featured in our shortlist have successfully developed betting apps for iOS and Android devices to help gamers enjoy more convenient Overwatch betting. Thankfully, we were able to use our smartphone’s browser to load up the STS site relatively quickly and it proved to be fairly unproblematic to place esports bets on a mobile here.
Lack of live streaming limits the STS review score
All gamers love to place in-play bets on action-packed games like Overwatch. STS have catered well to this demand by ensuring that their Overwatch betting service allows you to place bets on the overall match winner even after the game has started. Sadly, there weren’t too many betting markets for live Overwatch wagering, but your basic in-play betting needs should be met.
We will also have to deduct a couple of points off STS’ review score as a result of the brand failing to include any live streaming. Whilst this isn’t an essential part of an esports betting site, many rival brands have picked up plenty of customers by included a live Twitch feed of the games on their websites. Hopefully STS will work on this omission in the future.
Tight betting limits for your Overwatch bets
It’s always interesting to see what kinds of betting limits each esports betting site has for their games. Some bookmakers allow you to win up to six-figure sums with your esports bets, whilst others barely manage to give you more than £1000 in maximum winnings. At the moment it looks like STS is at the lower end of the scale, as their betting rules section clearly states that other sports like esports can only have a maximum win of £6,250.
Whilst this amount is not insignificant it’s relatively small and should be kept in the back of your mind before you lay down a big Overwatch bet on some outlandish odds. But if you are new to Overwatch betting, then this betting limit isn’t going to be too much of an issue, and it’s also nice to know that STS allow you to bet on Overwatch from as little as £0.10 at a time.
What else we found in our STS betting review
STS also serve up a good amount of odds for other much more established esports like Counter Strike Global Offensive, League of Legends, Dota 2 and StarCraft 2. But if you want to take a break from esports betting, then there are thousands of traditional sports bets waiting for you. The STSbet sportsbook covers all of the major sports like football, tennis, basketball, cricket and rugby. Whilst they don’t appear to offer anything in the way of horse racing bets, they do offer a good amounts of odds for niche sports like 3×3 basketball, water polo, chess and you can even bet on politics at STS.
But for some even more relaxing gambling entertainment, it could be worth checking out the STSBet casino section. This has a vast array of colourful slots games from top developers like NetEnt and MicroGaming, plus there’s a pretty good selection of video poker titles too. STS have also taken the time to set up a nice live casino area. This doesn’t have the biggest collection of table games that we’ve seen, but there’s enough variants of roulette, blackjack, poker and baccarat to keep most gamers happy.
For Esports betting, STSbet could be worth a look
If you are looking for a place to enjoy safe, easy and potentially profitable Overwatch betting, then STSbet could be a good option. Whilst it’s a fairly small site, they are able to keep up with much bigger brands when it comes to Overwatch odds, and they cover the best Overwatch competitive gaming tournaments too. The lack of live streaming and STS betting apps might be an issue for some, but we found that these omissions didn’t stop us for enjoying everything that STS had to offer.
In some ways, STS might be a little guilty of being a little too similar to many other esports betting sites that are out there. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it just means that STS will have to work harder on their odds and promotions if they are willing to stand out in a fiercely competitive esports betting industry. So whilst the brand didn’t put in a spectacular performance in our STS betting review, there is enough here to recommend this site to all Overwatch fans.
