Place your esports bets at our top ranking esports betting sites:
Most gamers will know the Mr Green brand name from their casino gaming and sports betting site. But our Mr Green review is going to hopefully show you why the Mr Green Overwatch betting service could be a good fit for your bets on this awesome first-person shooter. Everything from the Mr Green welcome bonus to their Overwatch betting odds are going to be examined here, so be sure to keep reading.
Mr Green was set up in 2007, and for many years it was famous for its casino gaming service. However, the Malta-based brand decided to add some sports bets to their site in 2016, and with the addition of esports betting options for games like CSGO and LoL, we know that it wouldn’t be too long before some Overwatch bets appeared on the horizon.
So our Mr Green review is going to look at what kinds of betting markets the brand has for Overwatch. Plus we will also ask whether the brand has live streaming, an official gambling license or even a decent Mr Green no deposit bonus for new customers. All of which should give you a good idea of whether you should try the Mr Green Overwatch betting service.
Get a Mr Green bonus code for the Mr Green welcome bonus
We are always fascinated to see how betting sites reward new customers, and whilst there isn’t a Mr Green no deposit bonus available, they do have an interesting matched bet offer that’s worth up to £10. So how do you get the current Mr Green welcome bonus? Obviously, you will need to be a new customer who has never made a deposit at the site before, but thankfully you won’t need any kind of Mr Green bonus code to claim this deal.
As this isn’t a Mr Green no deposit bonus, you will need to make a deposit of at least £10 in order to make a qualifying bet of £10 or more. Your qualifying bet needs to made on any odds of 3/1 (4.00) or higher, and once your qualifying bet is settled, then you will receive your Mr Green welcome bonus of £10 in extra bet tokens. Your extra bets must be used on accumulator bets with at least three selections. Thankfully, there aren’t any further wagering conditions or time limits associated with the Mr Green welcome bonus. So whilst it’s not a true Mr Green no deposit bonus, it could still be a good deal. Terms and conditions apply, 18+.
Only outright bets at the Mr Green Overwatch betting service
So what kinds of betting markets for Overwatch does Mr Green have? When we carried out this Mr Green review, we were slightly disappointed to find that they only had odds for the upcoming Overwatch World Cup. This could be due to the time of when we wrote this Mr Green review, but we would have still liked to have seen more bets for minor competitions that weren’t necessarily the Overwatch World Cup or the Overwatch League.
Hopefully when the actual Overwatch World Cup kicks off, then you might be able to discover more betting options for the first-person shooter. After all, Mr Green seems to provide plenty of interesting betting markets for other esports like League of Legends, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, and so it’s easy to see how this could be applied to their Overwatch betting options.
Get 24/7 help with your Mr Green Overwatch bets
Regardless of whether you need some help in setting up your account or using your Mr Green bonus code, then it’s good to know that the Mr Green customer service representatives are waiting to hear from you 24/7. You can speak to one of the customer service team via live chat, a UK-based telephone landline, or even send an email via the dedicated customer support address.
We should mention the fact that Mr Green have also created a helpful FAQ on their website. This has many useful articles relating to verifying your account, using bonuses and promotions, as well as explanations of how to make deposits and withdrawals. All in all, a very respectable amount of ways to get some help with your Overwatch bets and much more.
Be careful of deposit and withdrawal fees
The vast majority of betting sites will allow you to make deposits and withdrawals completely free of charge. And so it’s a little disappointing to discover the fact that Mr Green will occasionally charge you a small amount in order to make certain kinds of deposits and withdrawals. These cover a 3.9% charge on all Paysafecard deposits, and the brand also implements a £1 charge on each £100 that you withdraw.
We should also mention the fact that Mr Green also only allow you to withdraw from a minimum of £30 at a time. Thankfully, all other aspects of payments at Mr Green are relatively standard which means that you can look forward to picking and choosing from a healthy range of payment brands such as Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, Neteller, PayPal, Paysafecard and more. E-wallets usually offer the fastest withdrawals, whilst withdrawing to a card or making a bank transfer might take up to five business days.
Licensed by the UK Gambling Commission
If you are worried about placing an Overwatch bet at Mr Green, then you should be able to take some comfort from the fact that the brand are fully licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. This gives you the highest level of customer protection available, and it’s good to see that the brand’s website is completely encrypted in order to keep your deposits and personal details safe and secure.
We also appreciated the fact that Mr Green have even developed a special Green Gaming programme. This aims to give you plenty of help in identifying when your esports betting might be getting out of control. And with plenty more extra support from GamStop and GamCare, then you should have everything you need for a safe, fair and responsible esports bet.
Can Mr Green compete with dedicated esports betting sites?
Mr Green isn’t the first traditional sports betting site to jump on the Overwatch betting bandwagon. And so we were keen to see how a bookie like Mr Green would be able to compete with some of the more specialist esports betting sites that are currently out there. As a result, we made the decision to see how Mr Green’s outright odds for the current Overwatch World Cup compared with those found at the ArcaneBet esports betting site.
Whilst it looks like ArcaneBet had the slight edge in their odds, it was impressive to see how Mr Green could just about keep up. For example, if you went to Mr Green to back South Korea to win the Overwatch World Cup, you would have got odds of 1.45 which weren’t quite as good as ArcaneBet’s odds of 1.52. But it’s important to remember that it’s not just odds that count, as everything from a bookmaker’s license to their customer support team should influence your decision of signing up to a betting site too.
Slightly confusing website but top betting app
We have to admit that we were initially a little confused when we first loaded up the Mr Green betting site. This is because the brand had lots of pages filled with text explaining why esports betting is so popular, rather than actually helping us find our Overwatch bets. But when we took a closer look, we managed to eventually navigate to the esports betting area where we could easily place a quick wager on Overwatch.
Thankfully, it looks like the Mr Green betting app has been designed with the user in mind. This great app for iOS and Android devices puts the whole Mr Green betting experience in the palm of your hand, and it’s a great way to easily place an Overwatch bet without wading past all of the distracting text that tends to clutter the Mr Green betting site.
Does Mr Green have in-play Overwatch bets?
Loading up the Mr Green website revealed a healthy amount of in-play bets for sports like football, cricket and tennis, as well as live betting for a League of Legends World Championship match. But maybe it’s just a result of the when we wrote this review, but there weren’t any in-play bets for Overwatch.
But if we took the LoL match as an example of how the brand treats live esports betting, we can see that Mr Green take a pretty basic approach. You could only place match winner bets, there wasn’t any kind of live streaming, and the only statistics that you could use to place your in-play bets on was the live score. So if you want lots of in-play betting markets and live streaming, then you might better served at a dedicated esports betting site like GG.bet, Unikrn or also Rivalry esports.
How much can you win with an Overwatch bet at Mr Green?
It’s always interesting to see what different bookmakers’ betting limits are, but no matter how hard we looked, we couldn’t find anything to do with betting limits in the Mr Green terms and conditions. However, we should mention the fact that Mr Green state that if you somehow managed to win over €100,000, then the brand reserve the right to only pay you in 10 equal instalments rather than in one large single sum.
This shows that Mr Green could have some fairly generous betting limits that might be higher than those of smaller dedicated esports betting sites. But it’s always good to be on the safe side, so if you think you are in with a chance of winning a particularly big Overwatch bet, then be sure to get in touch with a Mr Green customer service representative.
Lots of sports bets and casino games
Mr Green earned their excellent reputation through their online casino gaming service. As soon as you click on the casino tab, then you will quickly see why Mr Green has become such a force in the online casino gaming realm, as there’s a massive choice of slots and table games here, with even some variants of keno and bingo thrown in for good measure.
Don’t forget that Mr Green’s standard sportsbook is also worth investigating. This has a massive range of prematch and in-play bets for top sports like football, horse racing, tennis, cricket and basketball. Plus they cover plenty of niche sports and have a good range of promotions that can help to boost your profits even further.
What we discovered in our Mr Green review
Our review of Mr Green’s esports betting has found that the brand have a small but potentially generous range of bets for Overwatch. There were only outright bets for the Overwatch World Cup when we carried out this review, but we think that the bets available for the first-person shooter will dramatically increase once the esports tournament gets a little closer.
However, we should state that there were a few negative points encountered during our Mr Green review. We would have liked to have seen live streaming which is an essential part of many gamers’ live esports betting experience. Plus the fact that Mr Green has high withdrawal limits and even fees on some deposits and withdrawals has the potential to make gamers look elsewhere for their esports bets.
But on the whole, Mr Green look like they provide a relatively straightforward and very safe way to place a bet on Overwatch. So be sure to keep them in mind the next time that you want to wager on this first-person shooter.
