Unfortunately, we have not found any license for Bovada.

We strongly suggest you to use licensed bookmakers, such us GG.bet and Unikrn.

Bovada are a popular online betting site who specialise in sports betting and also include some casino games on the side. The Bovada brand has been in existence since 2011, and the company have earned plenty of respect amongst US betting fans for offering competitive odds on a wide variety of American sports.

Despite this, the sportsbook has recently established a Bovada esports betting service that allows customers to wager on titles like Counter Strike Global Offensive and League of Legends. And as Overwatch League betting is a striking new phenomenon, it’s only fair that Bovada have started to include odds for this title too.

So our Bovada Overwatch betting review is going to carry out a detailed inspection of what kinds of odds the brand serves up for the first person shooter. In addition to this, we will look at things like payment methods, licensing and customer care to see how safe the betting site is. So read our full Bovada Overwatch betting review to find out more about this brand.

$250 Welcome Bonus for Bovada esports

If your country is served by the Bovada betting service, then you could be in line for receiving their excellent welcome bonus package. This special offer for new customers gives you a 50% matched deposit bonus that’s worth anything up to $250.

The bonus will be redeemed after you make your first deposit, but there are some important wagering conditions to consider before signing up for this offer. The wagering conditions state that you will need to roll over both the deposit and bonus amount no less than five times by making bets on the site.

Whilst there is no information provided in regards to what counts as a qualifying bet, or how much time you get to meet these wagering conditions, it looks like a pretty good deal. But be sure to contact the brand’s customer services if you need clarification over this welcome bonus offer.

Basic betting markets found in our Bovada esports review

Our Bovada Overwatch betting review found that the betting site offers a basic but decent selection of odds for the first-person shooter. Whilst some betting sites offer a variety of betting markets for Overwatch, it seems that you can only take simple bets on the match winner of each individual Overwatch match.

Despite these betting limitations, Bovada manage to allow you to bet on a wide variety of Overwatch matches from all over the world. Most punters will be interested in the Overwatch League and the Overwatch World Cup, but at the time of writing, it looked like Bovada only offered odds on the Overwatch Contenders tournament.

Whilst there’s nothing wrong with betting on promising Overwatch teams like Hong Kong Attitude and Brasil Gaming House, we’d hope that Bovada will make efforts to include odds for some Overwatch League heavy-hitters in the future.

Email, live chat and phone help for online betting

Customer support is an incredibly important part of any esports betting site’s services, and we were glad to find that Bovada have given you plenty of ways to get in touch with one of their customer service representatives.

The simplest method to communicate with Bovada is to use the free live chat service that can be accessed via the icon at the bottom of the website. There is also an email form that can be used for more in-depth queries, plus we found a customer telephone hotline, although it looks like it might be a US number.

If you need any help with anything from setting up your account to making your withdrawals, then you should definitely check out the Bovada FAQ section that’s packed full of useful information regarding your online betting.

Credit card and Bitcoin options for esports betting

Whilst many online betting sites feature lots of different kinds of e-wallets and prepaid card options for making deposits and withdrawals, it seems that Bovada are keen to keep things a little simpler.

This is because Bovada only take payments from credit and debit cards like Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. However, there is also the option of using Bitcoin to make a payment which could be a good option for fans of the cryptocurrency.

Whilst your first credit card deposits are free, Bovada will charge a fee for all subsequent transactions. Similarly, whilst you can make a free Bitcoin withdrawal every 90 days, Bovada will charge a $100 processing fee if you make an additional withdrawal within that period. As few other bookies add charges to financial transactions, this has the potential to deter some prospective Bovada customers.

Safe site but is it licensed?

You should always double check to see whether a betting site is fully licensed, as it means that you are given an extra level of protection when it comes to safeguarding your money, bets and personal details.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t see any evidence on the Bovada website that it had anything in the way of licensing. Nearly all other bookmakers clearly display their gambling license, and this omission from Bovada is troubling.

Despite this, it looked like the website is relatively secure and the fact that there are customer service assistants there means that it should be a safe option. But you may wish to consider a betting site who actually displays their licensing clearly rather than risking your deposits.

Fair odds found in our Bovada esports review

Whilst Bovada didn’t give their punters the largest selection of betting markets for Overwatch, it was good to find that their odds gave customers the opportunity of getting some decent payouts.

We found that for the Overwatch Contenders competitions, Bovada served up Overwatch odds that were roughly in line with what you can find elsewhere, but it always pays to shop around before laying down your esports bet.

However, we should mention that the odds displayed on the Bovada site are in the American format which might get a little confusing for some casual European esports betting fans. But on the whole, we’d expect that most punters could hope to make some decent profits when betting on Overwatch at Bovada.

Decent site and many apps available

The overall feel of the Bovada website is professional, and whilst it can take a little navigation to find the relevant Overwatch bets, it’s simple to make a wager on the first-person shooter at Bovada.

The website sometimes felt a little slow, and there will be some punters who might be confused about how to navigate to important areas like FAQ, customer support and live betting. But if you’re willing to put in the time, it’s easy to see how you can become familiar with Bovada’s idiosyncratic approach.

On the plus side, we have to mention how Bovada have created some great betting apps to help you wager on a smartphone or tablet. Not only are there Bovada betting apps for iOS and Android devices, but there was a Bovada app for Windows mobiles too which is something that’s relatively uncommon.

Live sport betting but where are the Bovada esports options?

Live betting has become a defining feature of the online betting revolution, and it’s unsurprising to find that Bovada offer in-play bets for a wide variety of sporting events.

Whilst it’s nice to be able to bet in real-time on ongoing sports like basketball, tennis and baseball, we couldn’t find any in-play bets for esports when we carried out this review.

This could be a result of there not being any major esports tournaments occurring at the time of writing. But even so, there was a lack of live streaming that is seen as being an essential part of any live esports betting experience. So if you want to take an in-play bet on Overwatch, then you may wish to look elsewhere.

How much can you win when esports gambling?

Like many other betting sites, it looks like Bovada have implemented some strict betting limits that govern how much you can win with the brand.

Whilst Bovada don’t explicitly state how much you can potentially win with your Overwatch bet, it’s probably in line with the $500 maximum that you could receive from a golf bet. But as always, it’s best to check the Bovada customer support team to clarify this important issue.

Thankfully Bovada have clearly stated that you can take an esports bet on their website with as little as a $1 stake. This should encourage many casual punters to wager on Overwatch with a small amount and get a good feel for what the Bovada site is all about.

Does Bovada have other special features?

It’s not just Overwatch that Bovada offers odds on, as our review found that the brand covers many more top esports titles. Major esports games like League of Legends, Counter Strike Global Offensive, Dota 2 and StarCraft II get good coverage on the Bovada site, but you can also bet on rarer titles like King of Glory, Rocket League and Heroes of the Storm.

Despite this, it’s clear that the real focus of the Bovada website is sports betting. The brand offers top class service on all US sports so that you can enjoy making plenty of creative bets on anything from American football and basketball, to ice hockey and baseball. Don’t forget that Bovada also includes odds on many more global sports such as soccer and tennis.

In addition to this, Bovada also has a pretty cool casino gaming area. This is packed full of all of the slots and live table games that you’d expect, and the brand have also thrown in a massive $3,000 casino gaming welcome bonus to get you started.

Final thoughts in our Bovada esports betting review

Bovada have given customers a fairly easy way to enjoy taking bets on Overwatch. Whilst the selection of betting markets and the tournaments covered wasn’t huge, the brand gave you decent odds for the acclaimed first-person shooter. The Bovada welcome bonus is certainly capable of giving you a good boost on your Overwatch bets, and it was relatively simple to add funds to your account.

However, there were many negative points uncovered in our review. Whilst the implementation of transaction fees might be forgivable, we would like to see Bovada making more of an effort to display some official licensing if they want to receive a better rating for any potential Overwatch betting customers.
