LEC Betting Tips Spring Split 2022

Early LEC Predictions and Analysis

Posted on January 20, 2021 - Last Updated on January 24, 2022

A new season of the LEC begins in January and Fnatic already rank high in the preference of bookmakers to win the Spring Split. Meanwhile, the reigning champions MAD Lions have lost their exceptional ADC but have a solid replacement and will give their competitors a run for their money. G2 Esports are the most likely team to cause them trouble, in spite of losing key players from their roster and the Coach. Rogue are as always a force to be reckoned with, while Team Vitality are expected to prove their quality as the latest LEC superteam. These are the early LEC betting tips and in-depth analysis of matches and the odds on outright winners at GG.bet.

New Teams and a Revamped LEC Schedule

The European League of Legends championship started earlier in 2022, on Friday January 14. This year matches will be scheduled on each day of the weekend. This means that punters will have the opportunity to watch their favorite teams performing from Friday to Sunday, in what appears to be an action-packed LEC schedule. Team BDS is the new team to join the LEC and it will replace Schalke 04 squad that caused some of the biggest upsets in the previous two seasons. In 2022, they are among the biggest underdogs with odds of 100+.

The top six teams will qualify for the playoffs and according to the early LEC odds it looks like Fnatic will win the Spring Split. GG.bet only offers odds of 2.75 on the current leaders to secure the trophy, while pricing Team Vitality and G2 Esports at 3.00 and 5.00. Given the roster changes and the LEC odds, the obvious choice for punters who fancy the outright winner bets is Fnatic. They top the tables and are the only undefeated team so far, with a strong early and mid game.

Check out the in-depth analysis of the 10 teams participating in the LEC Spring Split 2022 below:

G2 Esports’ archrivals have the perfect opportunity to return into the spotlight. Their rivals looked unstoppable in most of the previous years, but now their organization is in reconstruction. For Fnatic, this is the chance they been waiting for and so far, they made the most of it. The acquisition of Wunder as top laner and Humanoid on mid is expected to prove instrumental in their quest for LEC glory. They started the season with a flawless 5-0 record and dominated the early and mid-game regardless of opponent.

Team Vitality

This is the team that everybody’s talking about and that’s mainly because of the players they’ve snatched during preseason training. Perkz and Carzzy are expected to do a lot of damage on mid and bottom lane, outshining their counterparts. Perkz already proved its quality in the grudge match against Caps, while Carzzy projects an image of constancy and predictability. Alphari brings the peace of mind the team needs on top lane, while Selfmade and Labrov are invaluable as jungle and support.

Punters who prefer to bet on proven teams will always turn their eyes to Rogue. The fact that they chose not to change most of their players, further reinforces this conviction. Hans Sama and Inspired decided to leave for the North American LCS, but they were replaced by Malrang and Comp. The former comes from Damwon KIA, the 2020 world champions and the latter is a fantastic ADC. Overall, the team looks stronger than last year, so the LoL odds of 10/1 to leave the LEC are very tempting.

MAD Lions

Another team that is famous for being reliable and constant throughout the season is MAD Lions. They are the reigning champions after finding a way to win the playoffs in the summer of 2021. Throughout the regular season, the Spanish organization performed above expectations, but they shine in best-of-three series. In the spring of 2022, they need to maintain the same level in spite of losing some key players. The start of the season is encouraging and bookmakers offer some of the best LEC odds on them to win.

G2 Esports

The fallen European Giants are trying to recover after losing some of their key players. Caps and Jankos are the only ones that are still left from the former organization. They work well together, but so far lost the games against the strongest LEC teams. Without Perks, Wunder and Mikyx, G2 Esports look like a shadow of their former selves and are fading in the standings. They are still strong favorites to qualify for the playoffs and by the time postseason starts, they should be able to play at a high level.

Team BDS

The only new addition to the LEC, Team BDS started the season better than expected. Former G2 Esports coach GrabbZ does a great job at pushing the team in the right direction, but there are certain limitations. They don’t have too many experienced players and rely heavily on the talent from the French League of Legends championships. Punters who want to make bold LEC predictions can take advantage of competitive odds when betting on this new arrival to the tournament.

SK Gaming

At the start of the tournament, punters would benefit from LEC odds of more than 80/1 on SK Gaming to win the championship. The odds have dropped since that moment because they scored some big wins against top opponents. Players perform well together and this is the most important thing for a team trying to qualify for the playoffs. This is the kind of squad that you should consider for your LEC betting tips against the strongest opponents. On the other hand, they are likely to falter against mediocre teams.

One of the dark horses of this LEC schedule, Misfits have the experience and quality needed to make the playoffs. LEC odds of 40/1 didn’t do them justice, although they are unlikely to win the championship. Their main quality is the fact that they can create early leads and then snowball advantages in late game. The organization has the merit of maintaining its key players, so they can rely on the same core team. In games played against teams from the bottom half, Misfits should come on top in most cases.

Some of the bonus LEC betting tips were on Excel to make a deep run in the playoffs. The team alternated victories with defeats in the first matches, but they showed tremendous potential. Nukeduck is one of the most underestimated mid-laners and they also have a strong bottom lane. Patrik can single-handedly push the team to victory if he gets an early lead. The big questions rest with the players in the other positions, especially the jungle and support. We still trust them to qualify for the last playoffs spot.

Astralis is the less likely team to reach the postseason at the end of the spring split. LEC predictions suggest that they will finish in the last spot or at least at the bottom of the standings. The fact that they didn’t change many players isn’t great news, since they underperformed in 2021. The start of the new season was also disappointing and most of the LEC betting tips on their opponents proved to be correct. Not surprisingly, the odds on Astralis to lose are always low as they start as underdogs most of the time.
